I spent the last couple of years going back and forth about weight loss surgery. Been to the meetings, seen the docs, started the diets. But I decided that I wasn't doing it. In fact, I decided that I wasn't doing any of it anymore. I'm not dieting. I'm not hiding. I'm not making fat jokes about myself to make other people feel better. I'm not hating a single cell in my ginormous body. I'm fat. That's ok. I AM doing my best to eat better and exercise - embracing a Health at Every Size philosophy. I'm just over it. I won't be disgusted by myself or allow anyone else to express that sentiment to me again.<br /><br />Everyone walks a different path. I hope the surgery goes well for you. You are already a beautiful, talented woman. If losing weight makes you feel like a better you, excellent! <br /><br />But know that no matter what size you are, you have the right to be here.
